CM: Adrien Rabiot 7/10

There has been one thing that has been consistent in Juve’s two impressive Coppa Italia wins. That constant is Adrien Rabiot starting in place of Blaise Matuidi. In this match, he passed well and put in a strong effort on the defensive end. He might not have had a memorable moment like Juve’s other two midfielders, but he still showed the difference starting him can make for this squad on the attacking end. Hopefully Sarri sees this and keeps him in the starting lineup.

CM: Miralem Pjanic 7.5/10

With some real help around him, we got a glimpse of the Miralem Pjanic that Maurizio Sarri promised us in this match. He passed the ball well enough to open up chances for Juve throughout this match and nearly even earned himself an assist in the second half when he perfectly cut a ball back to Ronaldo from the wing, but Ronaldo’s shot went wide of the post. I was impressed by Pjanic in this match and I’m glad he finally has the help around him that he deserves.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur 8.5/10

Rodrigo Bentancur has been on a mission not start his 2020. He’s been serving a suspension in Serie A, so he hasn’t played a league match yet in the new year, but he has been great in his two Coppa Italia appearances. Against Udinese he perfectly slid into Miralem Pjanic’s role and helped spark Juve’s attack en route to their 4-0 rout. In this match, he took on a different role and was once again instrumental in their dominant win. This time around, he started the breakaway that led to Ronaldo’s opening goal. He also scored a goal of his own after some nice passing between him and Douglas Costa. Bentancur has made it clear that he is a valuable member of this Juve midfield and should be a regular start for this squad.
