Real Madrid may have to settle with Gareth Bale for at least another six months…

Real Madrid and Gareth Bale have been involved in a transfer tussle for as long as I can remember. Mainly being linked with the likes of Manchester United and his former club Tottenham, it just seems like the Spanish club can’t get rid of Bale.

He has been out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu for the last few seasons, even after the excitement following his Champions League final cameo against Liverpool.

What seems to be the problem is his incredible wage demands. Obviously, he has lived the life of luxury in the Spanish capital and has become quite accustomed to basically stealing a living given his huge wage.

More from Real Madrid

The Telegraph has reported that Real Madrid doubt they will be able to sell Gareth Bale to Tottenham this January. According to Mike McGrath, who is very knowledgable when it comes to the transfer market, Florentino Perez and company will enter talks with Tottenham officials but they doubt the London club will be able to afford his wage demands.

He is rumoured to be earning a massive £600,000 per week which is money that you would never, ever see Daniel Levy matching. And knowing Bale’s persona, he would be the person to not settle for less, even when it comes to signing for the club that gave him his name.

Gareth Bale is a speedy winger that has plenty of skill in his locker. Tottenham are on the hunt for a striker this January it seems and given Bale’s ability to play as a centre forward, it makes sense that they are looking to re-sign him. However, I really can’t see Bale making the move back to Tottenham.
