Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent was one of Liverpool’s better performers in the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out in the league. He had a lot of defensive work to do since a lot of Wolves’ attacks came down his side but he stuck to his guns well and I can’t see Klopp resting him in this match.

Centre back: Virgil Van Dijk

If I were to bet my entire life savings on one player of this squad making the starting XI it would be Van Dijk. This guy is a machine and he is important to Liverpool. If they want to prevent the Hammers from getting a sniff at goal, they’ll look no further than the Dutch defender.

Centre back: Joe Gomez

Gomez also featured in the Wolves game and he impressed just as much as Van Dijk did. He didn’t play against Shrewsbury at the weekend but given the sheer dreadful performance from both Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren, Gomez will make a return to the starting XI and rightly so.

Left-back: Andrew Robertson

Robertson seems to be a man that needs no rest but he got one when his side played in the FA Cup. He is a workhorse and his ethic is going to be vitally needed if Liverpool are to pick up all three points against West Ham. Klopp likes him, he is fit, there’s no reason why he isn’t going to start. I predict an unchanged back four from the last Premier League match against Wolves.
