Inconsistency dooms Chelsea again

Which Chelsea side will show up against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium? No one really knows. With Tammy Abraham being doubtful to suit up after picking up an injury in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal, Leicester City should be slight favorites to win this clash. The Blues have only claimed four points from their last four games as a result of their inconsistency.

Like Chelsea, Leicester City have also been up and down as of late. They recently lost to Southampton at home, a team which they destroyed 9-0 earlier this season, and they also suffered an unexpected defeat to Burnley. They rebounded from that loss with a 4-1 victory over West Ham and I expect them to carry that momentum this weekend when they face Chelsea, especially since Brendan Rodgers seems confident that Jamie Vardy will be fit for action.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Chelsea

Magpies squeeze past Canaries at St. James’ Park

Newcastle United are only a handful of positive results away from maintaining their Premier League status with 13 games left to play this season. The Magpies have taken five points in their last three games, two of which were against top six opponents, and they are hoping to break into the top ten with a win over Norwich City.

The Canaries are desperate for a win seeing that they only have 17 points at this stage of the campaign. Daniel Farke’s men did win the first meeting between these two teams in the second week of the season, but the narrative has changed quite a bit since then. Teemu Pukki will most likely be the most dangerous player on the pitch and he should get a few good looks at goal, but Newcastle United’s defense has been compact in recent weeks. As a result, the Canaries will still have 17 points going into Week 26.

Prediction: Newcastle United 2-1 Norwich City
