Watford and Everton play to a draw

This should be a competitive game between two teams with improved tactics after the arrival of new managers. Carlo Ancelotti has been in charge of Everton for six games and his team has only suffered one defeat so far, which came against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Their opponents, Watford, have been playing like a top ten team over the last month.

The Hornets have claimed an impressive 14 points in their last seven games, so they should not be lacking confidence. Everton’s top goal scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewis is scoring goals for fun at the moment and he could be the difference-maker in this game. Watford suffered a last-second defeat at Villa Park last week and I expect them to play with urgency as they look to bounce back. This game could go either way, but I will play it safe and predict a draw at Vicarage Road.

Prediction: Watford 1-1 Everton

The struggle continues for David Moyes

Like Liverpool, West Ham will also be playing two games this week, but unlike Liverpool they do not have the quality and depth in their squad to perform in both games. Brighton are a scrappy team that play aggressive football and are not afraid to take risks offensively. Graham Potter’s men are currently 15th in the table due to inconsistent form, not lack of talent.

The Seagulls have only won one game since December 28th, and their most recent game was a 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth, but they have created 72 chances in their last five games. West Ham struggle against teams that bring the ball forward with confidence, but I do not think they will lose. Brighton’s defensive record is mediocre and West Ham have enough quality up top to take something from this game.

Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Brighton
