Tottenham earn impressive draw vs. Man City
What in the world is going on with Tottenham? They lost their primary striker, but despite having multiple stars in the starting lineup they are under-performing, especially against teams in the bottom half of the table. Jose Mourinho’s men are closer to 14th place than they are to breaking into the top four as a result of only claiming an alarming five points from their last five games.
Manchester City, on the other hand, have won four of their last five games and have scored 13 goals in the process. Every now and then, though, the defending Premier League champions tend to take their foot off the pedal and we recently witnessed this when they drew 2-2 at home with Crystal Palace. Tottenham have the quality up front to cause problems for City’s back-line and I think Tottenham’s defenders will find a way to cope with their opponent’s dynamic strikers.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Manchester City
The Gunners dominate the Clarets at Turf Moor
Mikel Arteta is proving to be an average manager at the moment. Arsenal are not losing games under his guidance, but they are not winning much either. Since Arteta’s arrival, Arsenal have only claimed one victory in six games, but they do look more organized and they are starting to show more of a fighting spirit. The Gunners have taken five points from their last three games entering this clash.
Burnley are turning out to be quite the surprise package this season and they find themselves in 13th place after earning back-to-back wins over Leicester City and Manchester United. Momentum is on the Clarets’ side as they prepare for Arsenal, but I am worried that their inconsistency will kick in. Burnley is one of those teams that will claim a few positive results, but are then capable of losing three or four straight games. Arteta needs more wins in his portfolio and I think his team will take three points back to London.
Prediction: Burnley 0-2 Arsenal
