Liverpool salvage a point against Southampton

Liverpool are on track to being labeled as the best team in Premier League history, but a congested schedule takes its toll on the best teams as well. Having played some starters in the FA Cup over the weekend, playing West Ham in the middle of the week in London, and then hosting an in-form Southampton side three days later is a terrible scenario.

Liverpool should win this game on paper, but Southampton have been in fine form recently, and some people even think they can make a run for a Europa League spot with the way Danny Ings is scoring goals. Three of the Saints’ most notable wins in recent weeks were against Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester City, so look for them to give Liverpool a scare at Anfield.

Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Southampton
