CM: Lucas Torreira

He was given a rest on Monday night when Arsenal faced Bournemouth but I expect the Uruguayan international to start for the Gunners again. He will be key in the midfield as he aims to win back possession for his side, occupying a deeper role than his midfield counterparts.

Torreira is full of energy and after being given a rest in the cup, he will be eager to play out the full 90 and get the win for his side.

CM: Granit Xhaka

Xhaka has been a revelation under Arteta and, honestly, I’d even go as far as to say we can forget about his exploits earlier in the season.

Xhaka will be the key passer in the middle of the park for Arsenal and a lot of the play will run through him. That said, he is prone to the odd mistake but this hasn’t been the case for a while so fans should feel confident with the Swiss international in the midfield.

CM: Mesut Ozil

I’ve put Ozil along with the midfielders but if we’re being honest, he plays all over the pitch. Under Arteta, he has been given the license to roam in the final third and this is the role which suits him most. He will be looking to play that killer pass into the feet of the attackers that have been in good form. As he looks to boost his goals and assist tally, this could be the match to do so.
