It was not the result Arsenal wanted away in Burnley…

Mikel Arteta led his side to their first game of February in the hopes of his first away win as a manager. However, it wasn’t to be, as a frustrating game saw Arsenal and Burnley share the point. This result means the two sides remain level on points, with the Gunners in 10th and the Clarets sitting just behind in 11th.

This is not the position Arteta wants to be in, especially since a few teams around him dropped points this weekend. That said, he is bound to be frustrated.

Without further ado, here are the five main talking points coming out of this match…

1. Cedric couldn’t have come at a better time

The main frustration for Arsenal, other than the result, was seeing Bukayo Saka come off injured at half time. He has been one of the Gunners’ better performers in recent matches and he has slotted into a position of need.

The full-back injury list continues to grow for Arsenal, with Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac both sidelined. It’s also annoying that Calum Chambers, who can fill in at full-back, is injured. Still, I guess this shines the light on exactly why Cedric Soares was brought in on loan last minute. His arrival will prove to be important.
