Romelu Lukaku has set a new scoring record at Inter Milan
By Durim Halimi
Romelu Lukaku is flying high in his debut season with Inter Milan after setting an incredible scoring record for the Nerazzuri with four months remaining in the season.
Romelu Lukaku has taken the Serie A by storm with his performances this season. It has only taken the Belgian international 29 games across all competitions to score 20 goals for the Nerazzuri, which makes Lukaku the fastest player to score 20 goals in the club’s history.
Seeing that football legends like Ronaldo, Hernan Crespo and Ruben Sosa, to name a few, all played for Inter Milan, Lukaku’s ability to set this record is quite impressive.
In total, Lukaku has 16 goals to his name in Serie A action, but he scored twice in the Coppa Italia and scored two goals in the Champions League. After facing heavy criticism from fans at Manchester United last season, it is safe to say that Lukaku has put that experience behind him.

Inter Milan are neck and neck with Juventus in the title race because of Lukaku’s precision in front of goal. Lukaku has created a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez, and the arrival of playmaker Christian Eriksen makes fans wonder how much more dynamic Inter Milan’s attacking core can become.
Antonio Conte has utilized Lukaku to perfection and this has been on display all season as Inter Milan’s primary focus has been centered on providing Lukaku with frequent service up the middle and from out wide. As a result, Lukaku has scored a brace in six games this season.
The 26-year-old is reaching new heights in the Serie A in a short period of time, and if he keeps this form going his goals could possibly lead Inter Milan to their first scudetto since the 2009-10 Serie A campaign. With four months remaining in the season, it will be interesting to see if Lukaku can score 30 goals, which is something no Inter Milan player has ever done.
