CM: Adrien Rabiot

He might not be a regular starter much longer for Juventus, but I believe Adrien Rabiot will get the start for this match. Juve’s change in formation has added another midfielder to the mix for the 2 midfield spots that aren’t occupied by Miralem Pjanic and it seems likely that Aaron Ramsey will be starting regularly the rest of the way.

That will leave Rabiot as the odd man out after this match, but he’ll get to start against SPAL because Sarri won’t want to take a risk on Pjanic after he was only able to play 7 minutes last weekend.

If Rabiot can really turn heads with his performance in this match then he might be able to keep himself in the mix going forward, but it’s hard to picture Sarri regularly starting him over Bentancur, Pjanic, or Ramsey.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur

It won’t be in his usual role, but Rodrigo Bentancur should be starting once again on Saturday. For this match, he’ll be starting in place of Miralem Pjanic as the team’s playmaker, which he did last weekend as well and continued his impressive run of form.

Bentancur has made himself an indispensable part of this Juve midfield and has shown the ability to perform no matter what role he is tasked with.

This should be another good match for him and yet another that reminds us of why he won’t have to worry about his starting spot even with the formation changing.

CM: Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey has spent most of his first season at Juventus in the trequartista role (or injured), but now that Juve has switched back to the 4-3-3, we’re finally getting to see him in the role we all expected when he was brought in.

He has seemed to be at his best in the mezzala role. This role is where he has looked his most comfortable during his time at Juventus and his runs out of the midfield should hopefully spark an attack that still hasn’t looked as dangerous as it needs to be this season.

I believe he’ll be subbed off after 60ish minutes for Blaise Matuidi just to make sure he’s healthy for Wednesday, but he should be able to make his presence felt before then.
