Predicted Juventus lineup vs SPAL: Chiellini returns to starting lineup
By John Vaccaro
LW: Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo’s scoring streak wasn’t extended last weekend, but that’s only because he didn’t play against Brescia. Lately, it has seemed like the only way to keep him from scoring is for him to just not play.
His recent form has been absolutely incredible, but he will face a new challenge this week. Juve’s attack struggled last season with Dybala in the middle of the 4-3-3 and Ronaldo won’t have Pjanic behind him pulling the strings in this match.

I don’t think either of these things will stop his rampant pace, but it could make it a bit more difficult to score than it has seemed for him recently.
ST: Paulo Dybala
There’s a lot riding on Maurizio Sarri’s fatih in Paulo Dybala right now. It’s obvious why he believes in him as a player.
His talent is undeniable. However, he is being put back into one of the roles he struggled with last season and that could be problematic just a few days before Juve’s first knockout stage match in the Champions League.
Hopefully, the way that he bounced back this season will help him continue to play well even in this new role. Juve will be counting on him to continue to perform.
RW: Juan Cuadrado
I’m really not sure how I feel about Maurizio Sarri’s latest experiment. We saw Juve attempt to play a 4-3-3 last season and it didn’t really work all that well on the attacking end when Paulo Dybala was in the starting lineup.
I also would rather see Juve start 4 midfielders than continue to start Juan Cuadrado, but here we are. Cuadrado did play well against Brescia and even managed to score last weekend, but I really just don’t see Cuadrado being a starter on a squad making a run deep into the Champions League in 2020. I hope he proves me wrong, but I’m definitely not a fan of this idea.
