Juventus is struggling to find consistent success, but they’ll need that to change against Inter Milan on Sunday.

Juventus is coming off of another loss as they head into this Derby D’Italia, which will be played behind closed doors because of coronavirus.

Coronavirus isn’t the only problem they’ve been dealing with in Torino lately. Juve’s loss to Lyon on Wednesday was their 4th disappointing performance in the last 7 matches.

It puts them in a tough position as they now need to chase a win in the Champions League while also trying to get past AC Milan in the Coppa Italia (who they drew against in the first leg), and battle to stay at the top of Serie A.

Inter’s recent fortunes actually haven’t been much better. They’ve won their last 2 matches, with both coming against PFC Ludogorets in the Europa League.

However, those two wins followed back to back losses. Those losses were a Coppa Italia match at home against Napoli and an away loss to Lazio in Serie A.

They also had a match cancelled last Sunday because of coronavirus. That has left them 5 points behind Juventus and 4 behind Lazio to put them in 3rd place in the league, but with a game in hand.

Juventus should be as strong as they’ll get this season on Sunday as the only player who is still injured is Merih Demiral, who won’t be returning this season. Juve will continue to use the 4-3-3 formation they recently switched to.

GK: Wojciech Szczesny

The numbers haven’t shown it this season, but Wojciech Szczesny has remained a standout performer for Juventus.

He has regularly kept Juve in matches when his teammates haven’t played well enough to deserve it and has put in a lot of great performances only to be robbed of clean sheets by penalties and other mistakes in front of him.

If Juve is able to claim their second victory of the season over Inter, then Szczesny is likely to play a big part in the win.
