1. Magnificent Bruno

Just how good is Bruno Fernandes? Based on form alone, the 25-year-old is surely up there as the Premier League’s best midfielder alongside Kevin De Bruyne.

The Portuguese star’s qualities have been endlessly dissected over the last month, but time and again it is his attitude that has stood out. He always wants the ball when in possession, and even though he’s been at the club for barely a month, he’s a clear leader on the pitch.

It’s not easy for a player from the Portuguese league to adjust to the rigors of top flight English football. Fernandes currently looks like a player with years of Premier League experience.

He scored his first United goal from open play today – a typical Bruno Fernandes goal. Picking up the ball on the turn, he drove at the Everton defense before drilling it in from long range to equalize.

Portugal must not surely be among the favorites for the Euros based on their midfield alone. Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Danilo Pereira and Andre Gomes round off one of the most complete set of midfielders at the tournament.
