Monterrey remains only winless team in Liga MX

11. Atlético San Luis (12 points)

3-3-2, 9 GF, 12 GA, -3

The Tuneros look much improved over last season and are quickly grasping the tactics of new coach Memo Vázquez. Now San Luis has to be more efficient finishing in front of goal.

12. Pachuca (11 points)

3-2-2, 8 GF, 9 GA, -1

The Tuzos are in rebuild mode and leading scorer Franco Jara is headed to MLS after the season. Coach Paulo Pezzolano will just hope to finish the Liga MX schedule.

13. Puebla (10 points)

3-1-4, 6 GF, 7 GA, -1

Juan Reynoso has a stronger roster this season, but lacks pop up front. Only one team has scored fewer goals than Puebla’s 6 in 8 games.

14. Morelia (8 points)

2-2-4, 11 GF, 15 GA, -4

The Monarcas have been victimizing by poor refereeing and defensive lapses. They are capable of chasing a Liga MX playoff spot but can’t afford too many stumbles from here on out.

15. Toluca (9 points)

2-3-3, 13 GF, 14 GA, -1

A second straight disastrous season would be tough for loyal Diablos fans. Their defense has been leaky and strikers Alexis Canelo and Felix Pardo are too profligate. Midfielder Leo Fernández has been the lone bright spot.

16. Tijuana (6 points)

1-3-4, 5 GF, 10 GA, -5

The Xolos have been atrocious. Striker Camilo Sanvezzo has been virtually invisible since joining from Querétaro a year ago and this team is the worst offense in Liga MX.

17. Monterrey (3 points)

0-3-5, 7 GF, 14 GA, -7

A stunning fall from grace for the Rayados. They are setting records for futility for a defending champ and they are being scored against far too easily.

Next. Cruz Azul up; Chivas mete out discipline. dark

18. Atlas (6 points)

2-0-6, 6 GF, 13 GA, -7

The Zorros have suffered three shutout losses in a row. That’s no way to prepare for a Tapatío Classic.
