4. Sergio Busquets

Sergio Busquets has been quite an instrumental figure in the midfield and has delivered during pressure situations. His ability to create space through the opposition’s defence with his deceptive movements makes him a vital cog in Barcelona’s midfield.

The 31-year-old offers flexibility in Barcelona’s midfield. The Spaniard has also shown his firmness during some testing times because of his ability to win the ball back from the opposition.

Busquets is a tricky player who can bamboozle the best defences with his smart passes by cutting through the defence.

The former Liverpool player can play both defensively and offensively. The midfielder is technically quite strong too. Busquets role will be quite crucial for Barcelona’s chances in the season going ahead.

Although Busquets has scored only 2 goals in 22 La Liga games in the current season, his playmaking skills have been a valuable addition. Busquets has used the long passes to good effect during the run of play.

5. Gerard Pique

The Spaniard has been like a rock of Barcelona’s defence who has stood firm for the Catalans since his arrival at the club. The 32-year-old has manned Barcelona’s with his resolute approach since the last 12 seasons.

Though in the ongoing season the defender had some issues relating to his form, Gerard Pique is slowly showing signs of his class. He has been quite good in winning aerial dual and long crosses, while he has used his physicality to great use by making some smart tackles.

The defender is known to be technically strong and has been an intelligent mover on the field. Pique has shown his ability to counter the best attacks with his strong tackles and his ability to win the ball from the opposition. Pique has also showcased his ability to circulate the ball with his smart moves and quality passes.
