Real Madrid: Zidane could soon be reunited with Ronaldo at Juventus
By Kian Long
Real Madrid fans will be cheering on from afar…
Name a better love story. I’ll wait. Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane spent a few successful seasons together when the Portuguese star was a Real Madrid player. However, they had to bid farewell in the summer of 2018 when Ronaldo made the move to Juventus.
Ronaldo’s mission at the time was to win the Champions League, something which has been on Juve’s agenda for the last few seasons. He has been unsuccessful with this task but it’s never too late.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Juventus are increasing their efforts to lure Zidane to the Allianz Stadium at the end of the season. So much so, they are even willing to pay him a large sum of £7m should he agree to the deal.

There has been a lot of speculation over Zidane’s future in the last few weeks. Many are claiming that Real Madrid should pursue a move for Mauricio Pochettino, who was released from Tottenham at the start of this season.
Consequently, Real Madrid may be more inclined to let the deal happen. Reportedly, they have left the deal in the hands of Pochettino so if he decides he wants to manage in Madrid then they will happily allow Zidane leave at the end of the season.
Real Madrid sit top of La Liga at this moment in time, ahead of Barcelona after their recent El Clasico triumph. With that being said, if Zidane can finish on a high this season then his second tenure as Madrid boss can go down as a triumph and his managerial reputation would stand.
Long story short, this deal couldn’t happen at the right time for all parties involved. Cristiano Ronaldo would likely want to remain a Juventus player, Zidane will manage at his former club and Real Madrid fans may welcome Pochettino as his replacement.
Do you think Zinedine Zidane should accept the opening at Juventus?
