Spain announced that it had suspended LaLiga for at least the next two match days and Serie A is suspending its tournament until at least April 3.

But the Champions and Europa League are not the only UEFA competitions in jeopardy.

With every major European league pushed back, it is going to create a log jam in the calendar. If the leagues are not canceled outright, then the competition will need to be extended until it is finished.

Sport is not immune to COVID-19 and football is not the only sport being affected as we’ve seen every major sport in the United States have to push back the start of baseball and have had to postpone its basketball and hockey season.

With Getafe refusing to travel to Italy, Roma’s plane not cleared for landing and Barcelona’s match against Napoli scheduled to be played behind closed doors, the only decision should have been to postpone these games.

Next. We won’t see any Serie A matches until April 3rd. dark

The safety of the public, players and coaches should come first. Everything else can be figured out once the outbreak passes.
