The Chelsea star has thankfully spread the message that he has “recovered” after being tested positive for Coronavirus…

Given what is going on in the world right now, the sports community has come together. It’s been a long while since players and fans felt this close to one another and it’s needed in times like this. Chelsea released a statement yesterday which claimed Callum Hudson-Odoi had been tested positive for the virus and that many of their facilities would undergo a partial closure.

However, Chelsea fans were greeted to better news this morning, which is much needed in times like this. The young Chelsea star took to Instagram to reassure fans he is okay and he is now undergoing the mandatory health requirements to ensure his and those around him’s safety.

The Premier League and EFL will also undergo a temporary break. It’s thought that no Premier League or EFL games, including FA Cup fixtures, will be played until April the 3rd at the earliest, which is to be understood.

More from Chelsea FC

Callum Hudson-Odoi has had a good season, although he has had to play a lot of matches from the bench. He scored an important goal when Chelsea drew to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, his only Premier League goal this season.

Hudson-Odoi is one of the more renowned youngsters in Europe and any Chelsea fan will be the first to tell you how good he is, especially for his age. He ages at just 19 but often looks like one of the more mature players on the pitch.

Young wingers often get a lot of stick. They are known for putting too much emphasis on their fancy footwork and not having the best decision making. However, working alongside some of the best in the game and, of course, under the tutelage of Frank Lampard, Hudson-Odoi has broken those stereotypes.

Hudson-Odoi is very pragmatic when it comes to his decision making. He has the ability to cut inside but his main strength revolves around his ability to play the inch-perfect ball into the feet of his attackers.
