Arsenal will have their eyes on the summer transfer window where they can make significant improvements…

With no Premier League matches to be played until the start of April at the earliest, Arsenal will have their eyes on the future. The summer transfer window has been kind to them in recent seasons, with the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Gabriel Martinelli all coming during this time.

Mikel Arteta is yet to get a first proper transfer window under his belt. I mean, surely we can’t count the January window, right? Arteta was still getting to know his squad and only two loan signings were made as a result, only one of which has actually made any real impact since arriving.

With that being said, here are three signings that could be made in the summer…

1. Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid)

The first and most likely signing I’m going to suggest is Thomas Partey. Judging by social media reaction, you would think Partey is Patrick Vieira reincarnated.

I mean, I personally wouldn’t go that far but Partey is an exceptional player. Watching him play against Liverpool in the Champions League, it was refreshing to see. He was the best player on the pitch, in my opinion, as he prevented the Liverpool midfield from doing what they do best.

The Ghana international always appears to be in the right place at the right time and his main role is to intercept play. He is not afraid to put his body on the line to get the ball either and he has good footwork to get him out of sticky situations. He would be a solid addition to the already strong Arsenal midfield.
