Barcelona: Neymar is expected to finally return to Spain in summer

The long-awaited Barcelona return could finally happen this summer…

Well, it’s about time, isn’t it? Barcelona has been chasing the return of Neymar for what seems to be a lifetime, but they just haven’t been able to achieve it. They tried last summer and couldn’t raise the funds high enough and they tried again in January, although not as intensely.

The truth is, Paris Saint-Germain just really want to keep ahold of Neymar, and why wouldn’t they? It would be like having a million-dollar bill and trading it in for a dime.

However, Barcelona has not given up. They want to reintroduce the Brazilian superstar to Camp Nou and they want to do it as soon as possible.

According to Marca, Paris Saint-Germain are expecting Neymar to return to Barcelona this summer. The rumoured fee is set to be around £136m, which is crazily cheap to me. He’s literally been Barcelona’s cash cow, the amount of money they’ve made from him.

Neymar is an exceptional talent and he’s widely dubbed as the most skilful player in the world for a reason. The stuff he can do with the ball at his feet in tight situations is ineffable, you simply have to watch in order to appreciate the art.

Neymar has the speed to match and he’s also very calm in one-on-one situations which makes him the ideal candidate to any front line. He can score goals and provide assists, what more would you want as a manager?

Neymar left Barcelona to win the Champions League at Paris Saint-Germain, something which would have been remarkable given the Parisians are yet to win the competition. However, he has not yet achieved this and although they are still on the competition after beating Borussia Dortmund, the French club are never champions.
