Everton has had their ups and downs this season, but their new boss Carlo Ancelotti has made the Toffees more competitive since his arrival. One player who has significantly benefited from the Italian’s presence on the sideline is Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The 22-year-old’s first full season with Everton was in 2017, but Calvert-Lewin did not raise any eyebrows by scoring 10 goals in 67 games over the course of two seasons.

This term, however, Calvert-Lewin is playing like a striker who deserves a place among the English national team. Ancelotti’s main man up top has reached new heights this season with 13 goals to his name, which accounts for just over one-third of Everton’s goals (37) thus far.

Calvert-Lewin is currently sixth in the Premier League’s Golden Boot race. The number of goals he has scored this season is a clear indication of how important he has been for Everton this season, but how he scored those goals is even more impressive.

Calvert-Lewin scored six goals with his right foot, three goals with his left foot and four goals from headers. Everton has themselves a complete striker who is still maturing and developing his skills, and that undoubtedly makes him one of the best players for fans to keep an eye on.
