The last on the list is Uruguayan Mate drinker and friend, Luis Suarez brings experience and a friend of age to Messi.

We finalize this list with Uruguay’s own Luis Suarez. The Charrua arrived in the Catalan’s dressing room in 2014, which in his first season with the club, they managed to win the “Treble,” which consisted of winning La Liga, Champions League, and Copa del Rey.

Since his arrival, Messi’s relationship with the Charrua alongside Neymar was declared as the MSN. The MSN became one of the deadliest attacking trios in European football. Messi and Suarez, even after the departure of Neymar, have been an outstanding duo in front of the opposition’s goal. Between both of them, they have achieved a combined total of 517 goals, 326 of those scored by Messi, and 191 of those scored by the Uruguayan Center-Forward. Both of these players have been essential to Barcelona’s success by achieving victories and trophies.

This partnership seems like it may come to an end with rumors growing about the possible exit of Suarez from the Catalan giants. Although his destination is still up in the air, it seems that he may join David Beckham‘s MLS Team Inter Miami.

Although it still is unconfirmed, this relationship still has time for a few months, and this could be prevented given the current COVID-19 virus that has suspended football all over the world. Suarez is currently on the sidelines after picking up an injury on the knee in early January that has him set to return in mid-May. With hopes to still see them play together, we may see them play a few more times before their season ends.

Their relationship in the field has been outstanding, with both players pairing up to create goalscoring opportunities and prove to be a pain for the opposition’s defending side.

These individuals, to me, are those who have become Messi’s top three teammates. These individuals have helped Messi become who he is and still is. With few more season left for Messi, more players will have the chance to play alongside him. Who do you think will be fundamental in his remaining years?
