Real Madrid is looking ahead to the summer to replace Luka Jovic…
I know, I know. The summer transfer window seems like a lifetime away. With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s something that doesn’t cross people’s minds, understandably. However, Real Madrid is certainly looking ahead and they are planning for a busy window.
Los Blancos sit second in the La Liga table, one place behind their arch-nemesis Barcelona. The outcome of this season remains a mystery, even to the Spanish footballing body, but for Real Madrid’s transfer strategy, it’s business as usual.
There are a few tasks Zinedine Zidane will wish to accomplish. One of them is to bring in a world-class striker that will not only replace the failed project that is Luka Jovic but also provide a long-term replacement to the ageing Karim Benzema.

According to the Evening Standard, the Los Blancos hierarchy may have found the exact person to do that. Ben Hayward has reported that “Real Madrid want Erling Haaland” as it looks likely, reading behind the lines, that Madrid will prioritise a move for a striker this summer.
Erling Haaland has lit the footballing world alight this season. And I mean that metaphorically, although it wouldn’t surprise me if he had the power to do so. He rose to prominence in the Champions League for Salzburg, before jumping ship to Borussia Dortmund and only expanding on his immense form.
It’s hard to believe the Norwegian international is just 19 years old. After all, he is built like a monster. His playing ability relies on his physical nature just as much as his athleticism, as he likes to be in the right place at the right time.
If he were to sign for Madrid, then he would be a solid foundation for the creativity of Eden Hazard and even Paul Pogba, should Zidane manage to sign the latter in the summer.
Long story short, things are looking positive and if Florentino Perez invests the money, then the interest is being placed in the right calibre of players. Real Madrid fans can rest assured.
Do you think Real Madrid will sign Erling Haaland this summer?
