Manchester United finally confident they can keep Paul Pogba
By Kian Long
Manchester United have a new-found confidence that Paul Pogba will remain an Old Trafford player despite interest from Real Madrid and Juventus…
It remains to be seen what the European footballing bodies wish to do about the summer transfer window, but we have yet to receive word it is cancelled. So, as they say, the show must go on and it must go on for Manchester United too.
The main problem which needs to be addressed from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s point of view is the situation regarding Paul Pogba; will he stay or will he go? Well, it would appear the Norwegian boss wants him to stay and I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Pogba is an exceptional player and managers want to work with the best of the best.
According to a report from the Independent, Manchester United are confident that Paul Pogba will not move onto new pastures this summer.

Now, we should always take English tabloid newspapers with a pinch of salt, I am not oblivious to that. However, with this whole Pogba conundrum, it’s difficult to know what to believe, since it is ever-changing.
I guess the only concrete and rational evidence we have to go off is the words of the player himself. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t remember a time where Pogba explicitly stated he wanted to leave. Perhaps that’s me clutching at straws but for this very reason, United is in the right to remain confident.
After all, whenever Pogba plays, he is often the best player on the pitch. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his performances, granted, but he will know that he can’t set the world alight week in, week out.
So, what does this mean for Real Madrid and Juventus? Well, nothing hopefully. They are massive clubs with huge economic status, therefore, they will do everything in their power to sign Pogba regardless of what the United officials think.
Do you think Paul Pogba will finally leave Manchester United this summer?
