It wouldn’t be the world for Arsenal if they don’t sign Dani Ceballos permanently. Here are three options that could realistically replace him…

Since signing for Arsenal, Dani Ceballos has been neither amazing nor has he been dreadful. The best way to describe it is, he’s just been there. Not doing anything too extraordinary but certainly not being a flop either.

Admittedly, his injury didn’t help him but at this point in time, it wouldn’t surprise me if Mikel Arteta didn’t want to keep ahold of him. That said, I have compiled three players that could realistically replace him in the starting XI.

1. Carlos Soler (Valencia)

This one certainly looks like it could be on the cards. Carlos Soler has been linked with Arsenal over the last few weeks and while Coronavirus has halted the talks, it’s thought that Mikel Arteta is heavily interested. And why wouldn’t he be?

The Football Fancast has described Soler as the “new Santi Cazorla“, which the Gunners thought they were getting when they signed Cazorla. I must say, I have to agree with this claim. Soler shares many of the same traits as Cazorla, both being very technically gifted with the ball at their feet and love to get their teammates involved in the match.

It may take Soler a little bit of time to adjust to the English playing style but the Gunners have been no strangers to accomodating Spanish midfielders over the years, Soler will be aware of this.

Now onto the next, less satisfying option.
