Manchester United fans can rest assured, the Coronavirus isn’t going to prevent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from getting what he wants…

This transfer window is going to be like no other we’ve seen, that I can say for definite. With the Coronavirus putting the football world on halt, little to no money is coming in for some clubs. That said, Manchester United is confident they can make ends meet in the uncertain summer transfer window.

According to Goal, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even went as far as saying the club would “exploit” the conditions the virus is bound to set on the market. Player prices are expected to take a hit as clubs wouldn’t be as willing to part with their cash as they would’ve been prior to the virus.

There are no games going on, which means clubs aren’t getting money from ticket prices or from television rights, but many top-end clubs are still paying their staff and most notably, players. This is bound to have a knock-on, universal effect.

Although, it may not affect Manchester United as much as they have always been one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and they have a huge stash of cash that’s ready and available in each transfer window.

Some players which Manchester United are linked with include Jadon Sancho, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Benjamin Henrichs. All of these players seem like they will remain loyal to their clubs, however, United have the funds which could convince their respective clubs to sell. After all, money is bound to be tight.

If any club is the master of football as a business, it’s Manchester United. Ed Woodward may not get an easy ride but given the fact that United are always expected to pay more than their rivals, he has done rather well with expenses in the last few seasons to grab some top players.
