Manchester United has been given a boost in their quest to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho…

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the rest of the Manchester United hierarchy are confident of having a productive summer. The transfer market is bound to be unlike anything we’ve seen before, as the Coronavirus pandemic will have complications on player prices, etc.

However, Manchester United is in the best position to exploit the market. They are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and Ed Woodward and company will have come up with a transfer strategy to match the conditions of this uncertain market.

One thing can be said for definite, Jadon Sancho is going to be the priority of any transfer plan. The England international has really risen to prominence in the Bundesliga over the last few seasons and he is a top transfer target of many of Europe’s elite, including Chelsea and Barcelona.

However, Manchester United has been given new-found confidence about signing Sancho in the summer. According to a report from The Athletic, Sancho is “very open” to signing for the Red Devils and it’s even thought that he favours a move back to Manchester. The Athletic is one of my most trusted UK sources personally, so this is certainly believable.

Jadon Sancho is an electrifying wide-man that really flourishes when given the ability to cut inside. As England prepare for the European championship that is now scheduled for 2021, Sancho could really impress boss Gareth Southgate in his home country.

If Manchester United were to sign Sancho and a world-class striker that could feed off his creativity and secure an array of goals, then they will surely be candidates next season. They showed in the last few weeks before the Coronavirus break that they are capable of amazing things under Solskjaer so United fans, in particular, will be excited for football to return. Aren’t we all?
