Real Madrid has to make a choice between Zinedine Zidane and one of Europe’s best players prior to heading into the next season.
Real Madrid is ready to break the bank for the second straight summer. Luka Jovic not living up to the mark has taken a toll on the Whites’ setup and they have lacked a goal-scorer besides Karim Benzema. The former Lyon striker started the season on all cylinders firing, but he has now slowed down and not shown enough consistency.
Paris Saint-Germain’s lethal marksman Kylian Mbappe is the Whites’ primary target, but it looks unlikely that the France international will make his way to Spain’s capital due to the impending recession upon the footballing world.
Having said that, the club is willing to wait until 2021 but will try to sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane in the summer.

Harry Kane has hinted that he needs to win trophies in his career and may leave Tottenham Hotspur in order to do so. Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with the English striker, as have Real Madrid. Kane’s transfer fees are likely to be around 150 million euros, but it may come costlier for the 13-time European champions, Diario GOL says.
Zinedine Zidane says that he will leave any player who threatens Karim Benzema’s role in the starting line-up. Benzema is rated extremely highly by Zidane, who refuses to drop him under any circumstance. The French forward brings a lot to the team, but the Madrid coach is reluctant in playing two strikers every since Cristiano Ronaldo departed.
There are thoughts that Zidane will be comfortable if Los Blancos sign someone on a loan deal, such as Mauro Icardi whose move to the Parc des Princes on a permanent basis seems unlikely and he’s not in Inter Milan’s plans. While Zidane certainly has done a lot for the club, Real Madrid must not be afraid to think about the longer term successes.
Do you think Harry Kane must be signed by Real Madrid even if that means Zinedine Zidane’s departure from the dugout?
