In case Manchester United were starting to worry about signing Jadon Sancho, Liverpool have done their bit to make it that little bit easier…

When the going gets tough, Liverpool gets going. No, literally, they really have gone. Rumour has it, they are not going to commit to a bidding war with Manchester United so they have dropped out of the race for Jadon Sancho. This is according to the Football Insider, who reports Liverpool weren’t happy with Dortmund’s £100m valuation of Sancho.

This will put a smile back on the face of Ed Woodward and company since it’s one less rival to deal with. If Manchester United are to sign Sancho, they now at least know the price they’ll have to pay.

Sancho is bound to be a hot topic of interest this summer since he is regarded as one of the best young players in the world. Having honed his craft over the last few seasons in the German top flight, Sancho has attracted the interest of Real Madrid and Chelsea too.

More from Manchester United

Sancho has experience in Manchester since he spent the final years of his youth career nurturing in the ranks of United’s rivals Manchester City. However, he holds little to no commitment to the Citizens as he never made a senior appearance for them.

Manchester United are looking to strengthen in their attack this summer. With Jesse Lingard linked with a move away, the Red Devils need to strengthen. I mean, even if Lingard does stay, nothing changes because Lingard provides absolutely nothing to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Sancho would arrive at Old Trafford with huge anticipation which could lead to immense pressure. However, this would be the same for any young player signing at the Theatre of Dreams. It’s a new era for United, with no Mourinho around to ruin the careers of young players. Therefore, signing for United is an exciting proposition for Sancho.
