2. Erling Haaland

Another signing that could be made is Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland. The Norwegian wonder-kid is only 19 years old. I know, right? I can’t get over it either. The guy is the same age as me, meanwhile, I’m always the first to be benched in our six-a-side team.

The thing which is most daunting about Haaland, besides his frightening height, is that you could never tell he was 19. He plays like he is at the pinnacle of his career yet he’s only just getting started. He has a scarily bright career which is why Real Madrid must get in on it.

Haaland has a release clause of just £63m which makes me wonder why no other huge European clubs are staking their claim. It may seem like a lot and it will certainly seem like more with the economic crisis that has hit the world right now, but Haaland is worth every penny. In a few years time, when Haaland is scoring goals for fun in Real Madrid, they won’t regret paying his release clause.

Haaland rose into prominence in this year’s Champions League and he scored a wide array of goals since. He has proved he can score against the big teams in Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, for two separate clubs. At such a young age, to have this vast level of experience already is impressive.

He is certainly ready for the Real Madrid call up, but is this next player?
