Those who follow the Barcelona transfer news closely will know that over the last few days, there has been an increased interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman has only been with Spurs for less than a year but it’s thought he will move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

According to the Daily Star, Barcelona is now the favourites to sign Ndombele. Here are three reasons why I think that’s a good idea…

1. His ability to pass in the final third

While this may seem like an average trait to have, it’s not. Too often midfielders opt for the sideways pass, perhaps because they are short of confidence. However, what separates the best from the rest is those that have the confidence and skill to pass progressively.

In the final third is truly where Ndombele shines and if he is to sign for Barcelona, then he could be the key figurehead in starting attacks. With the ball at his feet, Nbombele will get his attacking partners involved in the game as much as possible which, if Barcelona does sign Neymar, will be an essential trait to have.
