Real Madrid unveil plans to sign two best young players by 2021
By Kian Long
Real Madrid has a long-term goal in mind, that’s for sure. Rumour has it, they will sign one promising youngster this summer before signing another next year…
Your guess is as good as mine on what will happen with this year’s transfer window. With the Coronavirus outbreak putting the whole world on halt, not even the footballing bodies know what the repercussions will be. However, Real Madrid is not letting this destroy their plans.
If you follow the Real Madrid transfer news closely, you will see there are certain names which pop up much more frequently than others; those being Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba. It’s no surprise either since these are three of the most sought after players in the transfer market.
According to a new report from Marca, the Madrid hierarchy has unveiled their plans for two of these players. The report claims that Real Madrid hope to sign Erling Haaland in 2020 and they will finish their plans in 2021 by signing Kylian Mbappe.

I must admit, this does come as a shock to me and it’s a little hard to believe. Borussia Dortmund have been very open in the past that they will let go of Haaland for a reduced fee in the winter of 2021, but no earlier than this. Consequently, it seems strange that Real Madrid is willing to pay a larger price for Haaland.
Still, I guess there are other factors to consider. For example, Paris Saint-Germain will likely lose Neymar to Barcelona this summer, so would they really be willing to lose their two star front-men in one transfer window?
Also, signing Haaland in this transfer window would fill a spot of urgent need. Karim Benzema has not been firing on all cylinders this season and Luka Jovic has been woeful, to say the least. That said, signing a long-term replacement in this position as soon as possible would satisfy Zinedine Zidane and company.
Do you think Real Madrid can pull off this sensational plan?
