Arsenal sits 9th in the Premier League table but they were experiencing a positive turn in form before the break. Here are five players that have exceeded expectations this season…

We’re 2 weeks into the Coronavirus lockdown or something like that. Honestly, I think the vast majority of us have lost track of time but unfortunately for Arsenal fans, this does not mean going back in time to the glory days.

However, what we can do is take a look back at the season so far and spread some positive light on it. That said, in no particular order, here are 5 Arsenal players that I think have come in clutch so far this season…

5. Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney has been one of Arsenal’s best performers of the summer transfer window. Although he has recently undergone an injury that’s seen him sidelined, we Arsenal fans were treated to many fine displays from the Scotsman in both the Europa League and the domestic cups.

This quarantine will give Tierney the perfect time to focus on his fitness and come back to stake his claim for the starting XI. Bukayo Saka has filled the void left by his injury, although Tierney doesn’t need to worry about his fine displays since Saka would happily return to his more natural position anyway.

Tierney is a fine accelerator with the ball at his feet and he also has a brilliant cross up his sleeve. I for one can’t wait to see him back in action.

Onto the next two.
