2. Bernd Leno

I will never grow tired of praising Bernd Leno and neither should you. I mean it, every morning meditate with a picture of Leno by your side and you are bound to have a great day.

Leno often doesn’t get the credit he deserves but without him, I dread to think where Arsenal would be in the Premier League table. He just seems to save the Gunners from so many defensive mistakes and he has made some tremendous saves this season.

So I take my hat, or gloves, off to Bernd Leno for all he has done for Arsenal this season. Let’s hope the Premier League continues so we can see some more unfathomable saves from the German shot-stopper.

1. Granit Xhaka

I know what you’re thinking. Save the angry typing, because I am talking about the Granit Xhaka we’ve seen under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta, not under Un*i Em*ry.

Xhaka has had a topsy-turvy season, to say the least. His Arsenal career was almost over when he was substituted and stripped of the captaincy after telling the Arsenal fans to- Actually wait, I can’t repeat that.

But, come on, you can’t say they didn’t deserve it. After all, Xhaka is only human and he has emotions, and he’ll obviously want to protect his family.

This is all in the past now, so I’ll stop waffling. But what I will say is, Xhaka has done terrific to bounce back from such hostility and he is now a rightful regular in Arteta’s starting XI, and his performances become more clutch by the week.

That concludes my list, but I would love to hear who makes yours. Who have been Arsenal’s cult heroes, in your opinion?
