Manchester United are bound to be in for a busy summer transfer window but it must start with letting go of some dead-wood, including these five players…

Manchester United has made it no secret that they are expecting big things this summer as they wish to “exploit” the repercussions of the Coronavirus outbreak. However, they mustn’t be too big-headed as there is work to do not only on a hiring front but also a firing front.

Here are five players I think Manchester United needs to sell if they are to start their summer revamp well…

5. Alexis Sanchez

You win some, you lose some. And Manchester United certainly lost with the Alexis Sanchez project.

Currently on loan at Inter Milan, the Chilean forward has made an impression but not enough to convince Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he should be in the squad plans for the coming season. If anything, it doesn’t even look likely that Inter will pay the price to sign him permanently.

There was a lot of hype and rightly so, but the Chilean produced frustration after frustration upon his arrival from Arsenal. Getting rid of his huge wage bill would also benefit the Red Devils as they look to strengthen their attack.

After all, why have Alexis when you can have Jadon Sancho?

Onto the next.
