4. Jesse Lingard

Why oh why is this man still a United player?

If Manchester United had higher hopes, they would have sold Jesse Lingard years ago. It’s word of mouth now that Lingard hasn’t scored a Premier League goal in a year and surely this comes as an embarrassment to the Old Trafford board just as much as it does the fans.

Manchester United must have higher hopes, and if the rumours of Jack Grealish and James Maddison are to be believed, then it’s farewell Jesse. Thanks for doing absolutely nothing except dancing at the Emirates, I guess.

3. Andreas Pereira

There was once a point in time where Andreas Pereira was an exciting footballer to watch and fans were genuinely excited about his future. However, this has not prevailed in the long run.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pereira looks like he deserves to be on the bench. Having tried Lingard as a 10 behind the striker, Solskjaer also tried Perreira but he was just as bad if not worse.

You may see a clear pattern emerging here; I’ve opted for players that are not productive under Solskjaer. Pereira has scored just one Premier League goal all season which is not good enough for a club the size of United.

From productivity to common sense, we move onto two players that it would be sad to see go, but it simply has to be done.
