Barcelona: 3 players Quique Setien needs to sell this summer

Barcelona sit top of La Liga heading into the Coronavirus break but they mustn’t be complacent. There is dead-wood to sort this summer…

Quique Setien is a manager that doesn’t settle for what he doesn’t like. That said, despite the recent struggle in power at Camp Nou, he will look to resolve this in time for the summer transfer window, whenever that may be.

However, he will know that as well as bringing in new players, there are a few that need to be shipped out. That said, here are the main three players that I think Quique Setien needs to sell this summer…

3. Junior Firpo

This one seems like the most obvious to me. Junior Firpo was given a chance at stardom this season after Jordi Alba picked up an injury but he didn’t make the most of his chances.

Firpo’s off-the-pitch attitude has transcended onto the pitch with his poor performances. He is simply not the man Barcelona needs and ageing at 23 years old, he has not shown any signs of improvement since making the promising jump to Catalonia.

Even Lionel Messi has advocated that Firpo should leave the club and he is a player that’s very hard to argue against since his judgement is valued by the Barca hierarchy.

Onto the next sale Barcelona should make.
