2. Ousmane Dembele

In all honesty, I think Barcelona should have sold Ousmane Dembele a while ago. Now he is bound to go for a weakened price than he was originally worth.

However, it’s a sacrifice Barcelona must make. If they are going to bring back Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, which should be their priority, then there would be simply no place for Dembele in the Barcelona XI.

The Frenchman has had his moments and he shouldn’t receive a bitter goodbye from the Blaugrana fans. After all, he has been plagued with injuries which was bound to hinder his progress. Whenever he has played, he has typically been a worthwhile member to the starting XI.

Barcelona could still make some funds for Dembele while he is still worth something. Along with the sale of Firpo and the money they would get from the next player, they could seriously add some leverage to their Neymar pursuit.

Even if Barcelona don’t manage to sign Neymar due to the implications of the Coronavirus, there are other options out there that are better to fall back on than Dembele. For example, Kingsley Coman from Barcelona would be a nice option to have. Barcelona cannot keep settling with their dead-wood players.
