2. Marcel Sabitzer (RB Leipzig)

Marcel Sabitzer is easily the most versatile player on this list, capable of playing as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, or right winger.

Another intelligent capture by RB Leipzig’s incredible scouting department, Sabitzer was signed from Rapid Wien when they were still in Germany’s second division.

Following a brief loan spell at Salzburg, the Austrian international has helped Leipzig reach the Bundesliga, and then the Champions League. In their current free-flowing side under Julian Nagelsmann, he has been shining as a right midfielder.

In 25 league matches this season, he has 8 goals and 5 assists. His footballing intelligence is exceptional, as is his speed and passing. He is also well-suited to Leipzig’s high press, something that Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been trying to implement in the final third for United.

At 26-years-old, he might be older than Thuram, but he is certainly a finished product. He’s just about to enter the peak stages of his career, and a player of his skill and talent could flourish in the Premier League.
