Manchester United fans should not fear the worst when it comes to Paul Pogba. If claims from this Spanish football expert are to be believed, Pogba is yet to make a decision on his future…

It’s no secret that Manchester United run the risk of losing Paul Pogba this summer. I mean, by now it’s chip paper news that Real Madrid wants to bring him in.

However, some Manchester United fans still hold high hopes. And why wouldn’t they? Pogba has never explicitly stated that he wants to leave United and he is very much leaving all cards on the table.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has been quick to comment this. Via a video conference (yep, those things we all hate but have to do at a time like this). According to Express, Balague feels like Pogba would be better suited to Manchester United, where he could become the leader, rather than signing for Real Madrid.

I guess what Balague is getting at is that it’s better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond. I suppose in this instance, I can see where he’s coming from.

Pogba is the best player at United by a country mile, although the recent performances by Bruno Fernandes do present a challenge to that claim.

Pogba has been riddled with injuries this season which have left him sidelined. However, whenever he has been playing, he’s typically been the best player on the pitch. This is why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will probably do all he can to keep him.

I guess the good news for Paul Pogba is that he has options. Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of him and will do all he can to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Paul Pogba is known to have one of the most annoying but best agents in the business, Mino Raiola, who is bound to do all the probing he can to get the best possible situation for his player.

With all that being said, Manchester United fans should take great comfort in Balague’s comments. After all, he is a La Liga football expert so the fact that he’s not certain Pogba will join Real Madrid would suggest nothing is confirmed yet.

Pogba is very much keeping his cards close to his chest but this quarantine will give him plenty of time to consider his options going forward, that’s for sure.
