Liverpool may have to prepare for the worst…

Sadio Mane has made quite the name for himself in Liverpool, to say the least. Since arriving from Southampton in 2016, the Senegalese international has been scoring goals and providing assists for fun under Jurgen Klopp. It is for this reason that he has won the heart of his supporters.

What is most striking about Mane is his speed, both on and off the ball. He is a fine driver with the ball at his feet but he is also able to stretch the opposing defence without the ball at his feet.

Mane likes to cut inside and it shows in his Liverpool statistics. He has plenty of aplomb in front of goal and working in a free-flowing attack system alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, Mane has learned to be unselfish when presented the opportunity to set his teammates up.

That said, Liverpool fans won’t want to lose Mane, ever. However, according to AS, they may need to do so since Keita Balde has predicted he may join Real Madrid.

That said, it’s time to prepare for the worst-case-scenario. Here are three options that could replace Sadio Mane at Liverpool…

3. Marcus Thuram

The first option for the Reds to consider is Marcus Thuram, the 22-year-old French international that plays for Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

Thuram is the son of the formidable French legend Lilian Thuram, who is proudly the most capped French international of all time. Like his father once did, Marcus possesses a lot of frightening traits.

Thuram is a tall player which means he tends to be very good in the air. This is great for Liverpool since they don’t have many tall players available to them in the attack.

However, the Reds would not need to neglect their lightning-quick philosophy which they are infamous for since Thuram has shown a collection of pace bursts during his time in the Bundesliga, so he would be a terrific candidate for the opening.
