Liverpool has made no secret of their desire to sign Timo Werner. However, it would finally appear that the feelings are reciprocated…

Chances are, as a Liverpool fan you are familiar with Timo Werner by now. He is the talk of the hopefully empty streets of Merseyside right now. It’s no secret that Jurgen Klopp wants to bring his countryman to England, with many fans siding in agreement with the deal.

According to a new report from The Mirror, Werner could also be beginning to side with this notion. Rumour has it, the Germany international has begun taking lessons in English, which many are taking as a sign he is planning to join the Premier League.

Firstly, I must play devil’s advocate here. Aren’t we all trying to learn something new in order to cure us of our lockdown boredom? I mean, the amount of banana bread I have baked over the last few weeks is ridiculous, so I definitely can resonate with Werner in his desire to learn something new.

However, it’s certainly convincing, isn’t it? I mean, I’m not baking banana bread in the hopes of replacing Gordan Ramsay anytime soon, but I can definitely see the prudence in Werner’s English lessons. The chances of him signing for a Premier League club this summer are very high, whether that be Chelsea or Liverpool.

Werner’s versatility in the frontline makes him the perfect candidate for Liverpool. He can play in essentially any position in a front-three so he is definitely the man Jurgen Klopp would be hoping to sign. It just depends on whether or not the feeling is mutual, which judging by this news, it is.

It’ll be an interesting summer transfer window, with Liverpool holding high hopes they can sign Werner. One thing’s for sure, it’ll be a summer like none other, so be sure to keep up to date with all the Liverpool news as it comes.

Where do you think Timo Werner will be playing next season?
