2. Emile Smith-Rowe

Next up is a player that we mustn’t forget about. Although Emile Smith-Rowe has spent this season out on loan at Huddersfield, there is almost certainly a place for him in the Arsenal setup going forward.

Smith Rowe is a fine attacking midfielder who loves to drive with the ball at his feet. He is also a talented passer but he likes to get on the scoresheet while creating goal-scoring opportunities for himself via his immense dribbling.

He is yet to play or even have a training session under Mikel Arteta, but having conquered the midfield zone for Arsenal as a player, Arteta knows all there is about succeeding in this position. That said, I am excited to see how he works with the traits of Smith Rowe.

The midfield position is one that Arsenal have struggled with for many years if truth be told. Arteta knows this all too well which is why he has begun to implement a solid midfield regime, starting Lucas Torreira alongside Granit Xhaka almost every game.

However, Arteta is not one to rest on his laurels and if he feels like there is another combination which would win his side more matches, he will alter it. Arteta is not one for sentimentality or to hold biases; if you suit the system, you’re in. This could work in Smith Rowe’s favour.

Onto the most exciting youngster, if the previous two weren’t enough for you. Crikey, your standards are high. I like it.
