1. Bukayo Saka

You knew it was coming, surely. I’ve made no secret of my love for Bukayo Saka in the past. I mean, how could you be an Arsenal fan and not be in love with this man?

He has been Arsenal’s cult hero this season as he has filled in a position of need. I don’t think anyone expected him to cover the left-back position quite as remarkably as he did.

As a natural winger, he has played higher up the pitch than your average full-back would but over time, he heas improved the defensive side to his game tenfold.

More from Arsenal FC

I must admit, I was starting to prefer his defensive abilities than his attacking side more in the last few weeks before the Coronavirus break. I never thought I would hear myself saying it either, as I was always quick to hype up his work in the final third. That pass to Eddie Nketiah, though. Boy, that was something else.

Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked. The morale of the story is, Saka has been with Arteta since the beginning and when Tierney is fighting fit, I doubt the Scotsman will get a free pass back into the Arsenal starting XI.

Saka has worked well so he will surely succeed for the gunners, which is why I have listed him as top dog on this list.
