Arsenal: Selling this player is undeniably the answer this summer

I have reached my wits’ end with this Arsenal player, and I’m sure many fans agree with me. Let’s just hope Mikel Arteta sees it too.
You win some, you lose some. This is particularly an important moral to have in football since managers must avoid being complacent with their mistakes. They must learn from their losses, and Mesut Ozil of Arsenal is certainly growing into one of those.
Listen, when Ozil first signed for Arsenal, I was over the moon, as I’m sure we all were. He had a lot of expectation on his hands, but he should have expected no less after being a world-beater at Real Madrid.
He hit his peak at Arsenal when he almost broke the assist record. He has been an honourable player since he arrived but nobody can deny that it’s time for him to go now.

His talent has declined, but his wage has increased. This is not the correlation Arsenal, who are tight with their money at the best of times, need right now.
There’s no hiding that the summer transfer window is bound to be like none we’ve seen in the past. We are undergoing an economic crisis and, while there are ways around it for football clubs, funds need to be raised.
Arsenal have big plans this summer, they wish to bring in an attacker and a midfield option. This is only possible if players shift. Selling Ozil is the best possible option since money can still be made from him and the Gunners would be relieved of his, let’s face it, extortionate wage demand.
The problem is, of course, if another club is willing to pay his wages. This could mean that the Emirates Stadium hierarchy may still have to contribute to some of his wages but if that’s what needs to be done, it should be done. After all, it’s not like he provides much to the starting XI nowadays anyway.
Mikel Arteta tried to integrate him into the team, but he failed to do so. He must show some ferocity in removing the Germany international from the squad.
