An unwanted announcement is better than no announcement at all, right, Arsenal fans?
Wrong. This is definitely not the news we wanted to hear, after weeks of uncertainty regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Arsenal striker has been linked with a move away from North London this summer, with many clubs including Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea thought to be interested in his name.
He is, without a shadow of a doubt, Arsenal’s best player. That in mind, it’s easy to understand why fans don’t want to lose him. Not only do his goals add a lot to the team, but also his work rate and ability to involve other attackers in the game.
According to a new report from The Sun, the Gunners have made their minds up regarding Aubameyang. Rumour has it, they are looking to sell him in the summer since they don’t want to lose him for free.

This would, at first glance, appear like a smart decision to make. I mean, Arsenal would be making money as opposed to losing him for free, right?
Wrong. Those aren’t the only two options. The Gunners should have hope that Aubameyang will put pen to paper, after all, he’s never explicitly stated that he wants to leave. It’s about time Arsenal made a real effort to keep the players they actually need to keep, unlike a certain Germany international who is a drain on wage resources.
I mean, I suppose it’s a good thing that fans have finally heard something from the club. It’s definitely not what we wanted to hear, but at least it’s something.
Should the Gunners lose Aubameyang, then £30m could still go a long way, if used correctly, even given the current climate of the transfer market. However, the best option would undeniably be to keep him.
Do you think Arsenal should sell or keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer?
