Liverpool FC is looking forward to signing Lille and Nigerian striker if Timo Werner deal fails this summer.

Liverpool has had a brilliant Premier League so far, they are 25 points clear in English Premier League table.

The Reds are set to win the league title finally with just two more game wins to go, once the league will resume after COVID-19 pandemic break will be over.

According to Sky Sports, the Le10sport reports that last year’s European champions are set to sign Lille striker Victor Osmihen in the summer for next season.

The Nigerian striker has been heavily linked with Liverpool’s biggest rivals Manchester United and Chelsea FC in recent months.

The 21-year-old joined Lille from Belgian club RSC Charleroi last summer for in his first season in Ligue 1 and has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.

Due to superb performance as a lethal striker, all the 3 major clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are set to fight for the Lille star.

Liverpool has been linked with few new strikers recently as Roberto Firmino isn’t having much goal scoring competitions from Divock Origi.

The Reds have heavily been linked with RB Leipzig’s striker Timo Werner to join the last year’s European champions in the upcoming season.

Timo Werner is reportedly going to cost above £60 million to leave RB Leipzig, hence Liverpool are playing to back up to sign Lille striker Victor Osmihen.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has been fighting Chelsea and Manchester United for major reasons too and Victor Osimhen could around £60 million in the transfer window.

Lille is eventually trying to demand as highest fee as possible for the youngster and is asking for an offer of at least £60million before they would consider selling him to Liverpool, Manchester United or even Chelsea FC for next season.

Chelsea FC is trying to provide competition for Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud, after a disappointing return from Michy Batshuayi this season.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have depended heavily on Marcus Rashford, Odion Ighalo and Anthony Martial to carry on the goal-scoring duty for the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team this season.

Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo believes that Victor Osmihen will go on to break many records in Europe in the future.

Victor Osmihen’s long term plan is to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world but now he is very happy in Lille.
