The second name that springs to mind is Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu. The 19-year-old is considering to be one of the highest rising stars, with Jaap Stam even claiming he is one of the best midfielders in the Netherlands right now.
According to a report from HITC, Arsenal have made contact with the Dutch club and Kokcu is a player that Edu really wants to sign. He is rumoured to be around the £20m valuation, so he is certainly affordable.
Kokcu is young and still developing into the player he wishes to become. However, under Arteta, he would certainly mature into a great midfielder.
Kokcu is the type that doesn’t mind putting his body on the line in order to win possession back for his side. However, this is not to be confused for his main trait since he works best in the final foot.
When Arsenal are attacking, you can guarantee Kokcu would be at the heart of it. His progressive passing is what gives him the edge over other Arsenal midfielders. He loves to move the ball forward on the counter-attack and he will surely improve the Gunners in this regard.
Although, there will be competition. Of course, Kokcu is one of the best young midfielders in the world so he won’t come easy. However, if Arsenal can negotiate correctly then they will surely beat the likes of Chelsea, who are also interested in his signature.
