If what is written is correct, Bayern Munich has executed an absolute coup for this summers transfer market; Manchester City winger Leroy Sané appears to be returning to Germany.

Leroy Sané has been rumored to be on the way out of Northern England for sometime; he is not the only one currently either. If not for his untimely injury early in this campaign, he could well have left already. With this said, the potential innovation of Sané going to Bayern Munich is no small matter.

With the pieces Bayern has currently, Leroy Sane is a magnificent fit to play in Southern Germany; figuring out who sits in the midfield becomes the pressing need for München, with great weaponry suddenly available.

How Sané fits in on paper is hardly questionable, Bayern Munich likely got a steal considering the talent and current global economic circumstances. What can he add to Die Roten, and can his acquisition bring them closer to the Champions League opportunity they so crave in Bavaria.

Leroy Sané: A Perfect Fit at Bayern

With Sané, his position on the wing will be dynamic on the other side of Robert Lewandowski; with the surge in form of Serge Gnabry, the front three of Bayern Munich looks as formidable as any in Europe. Alphonso Davies will spell either winger, as will Ivan Perisic should he remain on loan for another year at Bayern.

Should Bayern Munich correct their need for a really dynamic maestro in the middle of the pitch, they will be a difficult team to stop no matter who manages the outfit. While that is a topic for another paragraph, the current question is in regards to Leroy Sané; he is part of the reinvigoration of München into a real European contender once again.

He is certainly able to do so, should his fitness remain where it’s been for the majority of his career so far; Leroy Sané has about as much ability and talent as any player in the world of football. He needs to play consistently and with a manager who can accentuate him and grow him to accentuate others a well; while Bayern has the former without question, the latter remains a serious question mark.

Hansi Flick: The man to grow Bayern further?

While Leroy Sané leaves one of the most decorated managers of all time in Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, he will be coming to a club with a lesser know entity in Hansi Flick. While he is a former player and member of the German National Team’s coaching staff under longtime boss Joachim Low, his pedigree is not that of the mercurial Catalonian.

Flick proved up to the task in the games he managed since taking over for Niko Kovac; 18 out of 21 Victories isn’t bad no matter who the competition is. While he will have the opportunity to further remake his roster, it appears he will not have Phillip Coutinho; who Flick chooses to replace him with will be a fascinating question.

When Die Roten get Sané, a partner to connect the front three with the rest of the shape will be imperative; who could fulfill such a role? The names available are seemingly endless this summer, it will have a lot to do with the financial status of all the teams across the globe; those who need money, will likely have to sell players below former evaluations while those who have funds will pounce on remarkable possibilities.
